Maurice Shave began the business in Newbury before the turn of the last century. The Reading shop came much later, opening in Harris Arcade in the 1990s, and it is the one that survives.
A proper counter tobacconist: cigars, pipes, loose tobacco, and the accessories to go with them.
Getting here
Harris Arcade runs between Friar Street and Station Road. Reading station is two minutes away.
Parking. The Oracle and Broad Street Mall car parks are both a short walk.
